AirBNB Transformation

Located in a historic building in downtown Victoria, BC, we transformed this 500 square foot loft into the Speakeasy, a classy upscale Airbnb. Between sandblasting and sealing the brick, new floors, paint, wallpaper, an updated kitchen and thoughtful furnishings, this AirBNB earned a consistent 5-star rating.

Full Bathroom Reno

The only full bathroom in this house and it was tiny! Stealing some extra space from the adjacent bedroom allowed us to upgrade and move the vanity. This bathroom went down to the studs and back up again with all new plumbing, electrical, drywall, tile, and finishes. It's still a small bathroom but it works hard and looks good too.

Entryway Mudroom

Previously in this house you walked directly into the living room, a design feature nobody likes. We enclosed the side entrance that now provides a proper entryway for coats, shoes, and bags. All products were locally sourced from a home improvement store including the windows, tile, and cedar ceiling. Nothing is fancy but it looks high end.

Sneaking in a Powder Room

Squeezing in a powder room is one of our specialties. They may be tiny but two piece bathrooms work hard and give home owners the extra toilet and sink they need. This one was built into a primary bedroom. Have to pee in the night? No problem it's literally one step away.

Kitchen Refresh

Taking this dark and dated  kitchen to a bright and cheerful one was no small feat. But this transformation demonstrates the power of good design and thoughtful renovations. This was a classic cheap and cheerful transformation by keeping the layout the same, repainting the cabinetry and changing the counters, backsplash, lighting and some new shelves.

Full Bathroom Reno

This bathroom was quite dated and dark before we ripped it apart and started over. We carefully chose neutral permanent materials (shower tile, floor tile, vanity granite) but had fun with a pop of colour on the walls. If the homeowner tires of coral pink, they can change it with minimal effort and cost.

Covered Deck

The previous deck on this home was super sad. Now it's one of the best features of this house. A covered deck with comfortable furniture and a gas fireplace can extend the season for many months of enjoyment. Straight off the kitchen with a new patio door, it's like a new addition at a fraction of the cost!
